Responsibilities
In keeping with the Marian Medical philosophy, the Physical Therapist Assistant performs all phases of physical therapy treatment and documentation; performs other tasks as assigned related to quality of care and effective department function. Under the guidance and direction of a Physical Therapist, performs such typical distinguishing duties as: participates in the treatment program planning; administers physical therapy modalities, procedures and tests; documents accurate patient records and progress notes; maintains appropriate oral or written contact with the referring
physician, subordinates co workers, and the public. Ensures a clean and safe work environment by being alert for unsafe conditions and malfunctioning equipment and using appropriate procedures for their correction; supervises aides in their participation in the overall treatment program. Assists Physical Therapy Supervisor with Q.I. as required. Performs other related duties such as: Participates in all departmental functions and activities as required, including inservice education, clerical and other tasks relevant to effective department function as necessary.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Licensed, or eligible as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the Physical Therapy Board of California

skills. - Demonstrates basic knowledge of the principles, techniques and procedures within the scope of their practice as Licensed
Physical Therapist Assistants. - Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
- Demonstrates ability to function in a team environment, collaborating with other patient care team members, physicians, patient, and their families.
- Ability to teach techniques and procedures of Physical therapy to patients and their family.
