We Require
Three years of related construction or maintenance work experience
High school diploma or GED
Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Arizona
Job Contributions
Supervise employees performing operations and maintenance activities; assure that all safety rules and regulations are observed on the job site
Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work to meet project needs and schedules; assure completion of work orders to meet Division standards and monitor equipment and material usage reports
Prepare and process costs; estimate time, labor, equipment, and materials needed for projects and work orders; may order, purchase, pick up, and deliver materials, supplies, tools, and equipment
Complete daily written reports, and enter information in the asset management system (Cartegraph)
Work with employees to correct performance deficiencies, counsel, and implement discipline procedures as needed
Direct the daily activities of assigned staff; coordinate and schedule staff, vehicles, and equipment; review the work of staff to assure the work quality and timely accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maps, and inspect roadways and structures
Resolve and respond to complaints and inquiries from the public and various government agencies
Other job duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Exerting 20 - 25 pounds occasionally, 10 - 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly
Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
Incumbent may be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness / humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and vibration
Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, poor, ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel
The work will occur in an office and field environment. While performing the duties and responsibilities, the employee may be exposed to loud noise, noxious odors, unsanitary conditions, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and other related conditions and situations.
Position is subject to atmospheric conditions : Fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
