What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Marie Veronique?
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is primarily responsible for Shipping and Receiving. This includes picking, packing and shipping products to customers, wholesale partners and press contacts, as well as ensuring incoming deliveries are properly received both physically and into the inventory management system.
We see Shipping as having a key role in the customer experience through responding to/accommodating customer service requests, orders being correctly picked and packed with a personal touch and pleasant aesthetics, with the inclusion of handwritten notes and with packages arriving fast and fully intact. We are low-technology and very hands-on in our approach to fulfillment, and each package is given a high level of care and attention to detail by our team. Because of that - this is not a typical “warehouse” role, and is more suited for someone with retail experience who has delivered a high level of detail in support of the customer experience.
The Receiving area is equally important as it drives our Inventory of raw materials and packaging needed for the production of our goods. Attention to detail and clear communication are essential to this side of the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following and other duties may be assigned
Print, sort and prioritize online orders
Pick, check and pack shipments for online retail, wholesale and press orders
Ensure products are packaged properly to safeguard against damage
Prepare shipping documents, record required shipping information, dispatch orders in our Inventory tracking system and track discrepancies
Cultivate strong relationships with carriers and ensure daily pickups
Assemble product kits/boxes with great attention to detail and in accordance with the Marie Veronique standard
Facilitate the return process with Customer Service
Receiving incoming deliveries cross checking packing slips, quantities received and all proper documentation to move the material forward to our QC department
Communicate clearly and through the appropriate channels with the different teams if there are discrepancies when receiving deliveries and add notes to PO’s based on status of the material
Move approved material from QC to Backstock both physically and in the system
Prepare material transfers from warehouse to production area both physically and in the system
Place FG’s from production in backstock, keeping backstock organized and always keeping picking area replenished
Monitor and maintain inventory (product, raw material, packaging & supplies) through daily and weekly cycle counts / quarterly full physical inventories
Integrate inventory levels from our inventory tracking system with our website inventory when receiving FG’s from production
Maintain clean and organized work areas and dispose of packing material and boxes as needed

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma/GED and 1 years’ experience in a shipping or retail role desired
Other skills and abilities:
Strong attention to detail
Excellent handwriting
Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated individuals able to multitask effectively when working independently or within a team
Be comfortable with technology and have good computer skills. You will be using GSuite (Gmail and Google Apps), our online store backend website, our shipping system and our inventory management software
