FIRST AND FOREMOST THE POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SERVING MARINES, SAILORS AND FAMILY MEMBERS
Major Duties
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Performs Starter/Marshall duties. Assures tee sheets run on time, assures maximum usage of available tee times by pairing singles and twosomes and threesomes, and assists golfers in need of playing partners.
Keeps flow of play moving on the golf course, and assists customer looking for lost balls to keep play moving. May assist in pulling up and staging the golf cart fleet for play, assists in washing and parking fleet when no longer needed for the day. May assist in picking up balls from the driving range. Provides facility and program information to patrons.
Operates a motorized beverage cart that sells alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverage items Receives and records payment at time of sale, and maintains inventory of stock.
Provides superior customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify, and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Maintains Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with prescribed regulations and ensures confidentiality and security of information. Handles sensitive information that is confidential, privileged, or otherwise legally exempt from disclosure. Safeguards sensitive information and prevents unauthorized reading, printing, retaining, copying or dissemination of information, messages, or correspondence in accordance with rules and regulations such as those covered by Privacy Act, OMB Memo 7-16 (May 2007), DOD CIO Memo, DOD 5400.11 and 5400.11-R. Notifies the higher-level supervisor and senders immediately when personal identifiable information has been released and advises on how to properly recover, and/or protect information.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
No experience required. Knowledge of Golf Course rules, customs, and courtesies preferred. Must have the ability to perform the required functions of the position. Must be 21 years of age or older.
