Job Summary:
As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings, models, and schematics used in the design, manufacturing, or construction process. You will work closely with engineers to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
Applicants must have a solid understanding of SolidWorks, drafting techniques, 3D principles, and familiarity with engineering terminology. Strong math skills, mechanical aptitude and familiarity with CAD/CAM equipment and platforms is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and revise CAD drawings and models based on project specifications
- Create technical schematics, blueprints, and layout plans
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to incorporate design changes
- Ensure drawings comply with industry and company standards
- Overall ownership of the SolidWorks system
- Maintain organized CAD libraries and documentation
- Assist in resolving design and documentation issues throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications:
Required:
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Associate degree or certificate in Drafting, Engineering Design, or a related field
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and design standards
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred:
- 2 years of experience in a CAD-related role (Recent Graduates encouraged to apply!!)
- Knowledge of Industrial Design
