Responsibilities
Position Summary : According to established procedures cleans and services building areas. Performs a variety of environmental service duties to maintain the hospital in a neat orderly and sanitary condition. Core Duties :
- Cleans and prepares assigned areas dismissals and transfers in a timely manner to expedite patient admissions.
- Performs linen duties when assigned.
- Assists in maintaining an inventory of equipment and supplies relative to cleaning activities for par stocking purposes Moves furniture equipment and supplies in and around hospital departments.
- Keep housekeeping closet locked.
- Keep housekeeping carts locked.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum :
- Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction.
- Ability to speak read write and to follow simple written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to use proper body mechanics when lifting.
- Able to do work in spite of frequent interruptions.
Preferred :
- Minimum six months experience in similiar hospital or commercial housekeeping environment preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital housekeeping cleaning procedures and equipment preferred
- HS or GED
