Flex Security Officer

Marksman Security Corporation is hiring immediately for flex security officers in Huntsville, Alabama.

Applicants need to be flexible with their schedule and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays, if needed. Must be able to respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice. The flex security officer covers open shifts, vacations, extra coverage, and call outs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior.
• Conduct access control, greet vendors and visitors with a friendly demeanor, check identification, maintain vehicle logs and sign-in sheets, announce visitors, thoroughly vet all persons entering and leaving the property.
• Perform front desk/ reception duties, monitor CCTV camera systems, respond to alarms and calls of distress, fire prevention, handling of crisis situations.
• Utilize all essential security equipment approved for use on site (CCTV, radios, computers/tablets, guard touring system).

• Ensure reports, records and other documentation is accurate and complete, and submitted in a timely manner.

Special skills and attributes include:

• Alabama Security Regulatory Board license (unarmed)

• At least 18 years of age
• High school degree or equivalent
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Valid CPR/AED certification preferred

If a flex officer has less than 40 hours for the week and is called within four (4) hours to start shift, the flex officer will be required to fill the shift. Any flex officer that cannot fill a shift within the four (4) hour time frame or cannot fill a complete shift after being offered a shift three (3) times, may be subject to discipline up to and including removal from the flex officer program.
