Director of Patient Accounting - Full Time, Days

OPEN POSITION: Position: Director of Patient Accounting Department: Patient Accounting Location: Cass City, MI

Full Benefits Aspire Rural Health System is seeking a full time Director of Patient Accounting within our Patient Accounting department. We are looking for those who have a great attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are constantly striving to provide the highest quality of services for our patient. REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree in Healthcare, Business Management, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Five (5) years in a Patient Accounting or related department
• Two (2) years experience in a leadership role for a staff
• Experience in health care setting with working knowledge of medical terminology and billing systems/software
• Must have effective interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position manages the oversight and implementation of the patient accounting programs by identifying, planning, implementing and monitoring initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and drive towards best practice. The responsible areas include Revenue Integrity, Insurance Follow up Teams, Cash Posting Teams, and Denials Management. This position will focus on improving business processes within their functional area and the overall patient accounting areas with goals of adding revenue, reducing costs, increasing efficiency, eliminating waste, defects, and other non-value added or duplicate efforts, with a continuous focus on improved customer experience.
