CUSTOMER SALES SPECIALIST

(1) Full time position, M-F, 7:30am-4:30pm (can be somewhat flexible), some rotating Saturdays, 9am-1pm

Job Summary:
- Provide excellent customer service to customers, sell MARS services and products, and facilitate excellent workflow at MARS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in person, on the phone, through email or any other interaction with a positive “how can I help you?” attitude, sell products and services that would benefit the customer and MARS, facilitate proper workflow of the business with frequent use of computers & software, receive payment for services, and maintain a neat and tidy office and sales area.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience/Education):
- Valid driver's license with minimal citations
- High school education preferred
- Ability to drive manual transmission preferred
- Experience in customer service in the automotive field with frequent use of computers, highly preferred
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with drug and alcohol policy
- Pass pre-employment background check
Required Skills:
- Ability to use excellent communication skills including active listening.
- Ability to use good interpersonal skills with a polite and courteous demeaner towards staff, customers, clients, and visitors.
- Ability to field customer questions, complaints, and grievance’s while forwarding information to assigned technician or other staff.
- Ability to learn products, services, or areas of customer service specialization.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
- Ability to perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a current, active driver’s license with minimal citations.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Sitting and standing at desk for up to 8 hours/day, or longer depending on the demands of the job.
- Walking around all shop areas off and on throughout the day
- Driving manual (preferred, but not required) and automatic transmission vehicles
- Travel by auto with exposure to moving traffic in year-round weather conditions
- Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to working in cold under 32 degrees and in heat over 80 degrees both indoors and outdoors.
- Frequent repetitive movement, especially with hands and arms with frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
- Good close, distance, and peripheral vision and ability to distinguish colors
- Exposed to explosive, caustic, volatile and biohazard materials that may cause sickening or annoying odors.
- Exposure to solvents, cleaners, painting materials, and other chemicals.
- Exposure to upset, unhappy, or angry clients
