Job Description:
***This is a hybrid role that can be based in our Phoenix, AZ or Franklin, TN offices.
A Mars Petcare Category Management Analyst plays an integral role in leveraging analytical data and converting it into insights and recommendations for key stakeholders that will achieve business objectives. This role will support our specialty category managers in analytics/customer presentations and own the direct category relationship with Pet Supplies Plus.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s Degree
1-2 years in sales or category analytics or management
1-2 years of consumer-packaged goods analytical experience
Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint
Experience working with Nielsen or IRI
Ability to solve problems utilizing data
Able to effectively communicate and interact with others and work effectively within a team
Experience working with JDA Planogram software (preferred)
What will be your key responsibilities?
Utilize data to Identify business trends, competitive market activity, shopper trends, product performance, and provide actionable recommendations to partner retailer(s)
Synthesize Mars proprietary research into actionable shelf recommendations for key retailer partners. Implement recommendations with the retailer and track performance post-reset.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to track performance of business objectives (shelf performance, product effectiveness, retailer initiatives)
Build, update and refresh weekly and monthly dashboards (weekly POS monthly category recaps)
Conduct high quality analysis and synthesis of multi-source data to evaluate item performance, assortment planning and store clustering through the modular process, while leveraging effective communication & influencing to orchestrate action
Provide ad hoc support as needed across our entire team
