Job Summary
The Finance Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating the company’s financial operations. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role collaborates closely with the operations, accounting, accounts receivable, and finance teams to ensure success. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, grow, and gain a deep understanding of how their contributions positively impact the organization. With a passion for helping others comprehend their financial performance, the Finance Analyst will provide insights that drive informed decisions for sustainable business outcomes. Strong problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Financial:
- Assist in month-end accounting close process
- Assist operations and sales with pricing services
- Review and process billing/account changes (labor, billing rates, etc.)
- Create reports for operations to facilitate business performance
- Manual billing creation/review
- As needed, assist operations in review of job cost profitability and identify areas of opportunity
- Supports business needs and financial success by performing additional duties as determined by the finance manager
AR and Collections:
- Collaborate with the centralized AR department to ensure timely and accurate customer billing.
- Assist the accounts receivable team by addressing inquiries related to collection issues or developments, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of any billing concerns.
Process Improvement:
- Identify, analyze, and recommend improvements to forecasting processes and other operational procedures.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial factors impacting performance are understood and integrated into operational strategies.
- Serve as a resource for operations, enhancing their financial knowledge and understanding of financial impact.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of financial/accounting principles, and operational processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to educate others.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to handle competing priorities and seeing tasks through to completion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).

- Associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 1 years of experience in a related role (5 years of experience if no applicable degree)
