What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant position at Marshall Manor Nursing and Rehab?
Marshall Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation is currently seeking a full-time activities assistant. It is Monday-Friday and every other weekend. If interested, Please come by out facility at 3120 North St in Guntersville to fill out an application and learn more about the position.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited school of Cosmetology required.
Experience supervising operations of a nursing home or retirement center beauty salon or experience with geriatric hair styling.
Interpersonal skills to bond and relate with patients on a close level to win their trust and cooperation during treatment.
Emotional intelligence to understand residents needs and temperament.
Good organizational and communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in office area as well as throughout the facility.
Is subject to frequent interruptions.
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel, and support agencies.
Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility.

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
