What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN Day Time/ No Weekends/No Holidays position at Marshall-Starke Development Center, Inc.?
Must be able to:
1. Monitor supply of medication to assure that approved meds are always present. Notify parent or group home when supply needs to be replenished.
2. Maintain individual health records on all clients.
3. Serve as advocate for client health and participate as member of inter-disciplinary team as appropriate.
4. Serves as liaison to health community.
5. Assure that all client health information is current and up-to-date.
6. Provide staff in-service as necessary.
7. Provide TB tests, Hep B, and Flu shot injections to staff.
8. Update physician orders as necessary.
9. Maintain consumer seizure/incident reports and inform staff of status of reports.
10. Assure that all emergency information on consumers is current.
11. Provide instruction and observe for compliance to proper lifting techniques, diapering, and disposal of soiled items.
12. Maintain sufficient quantities of MSDC health supplies.
13. Implement an Emergency Response Team and meet with them periodically.
14. Provide input into the development and revision of health and safety policies and procedures.
15. Coordinates drug and alcohol testing for van, bus drivers, and any staff that transport consumers.
16. Assures compliance of CARF Health/Safety Standards.
17. Responsible for overseeing the Safety Committee and reporting to the Management Team any areas of concern with recommendations for improvement/correction of those concerns.
18. Schedule periodic fire and emergency drills: conducts, receives and reviews reports of those drills and reports to the Management Team any areas of concern with recommendations for improvement/correction of those concerns.
19. Develop and oversee a health care support plan for supported living sites, including face to face visits with the individual, physician consultations and medication ordering.

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
