The Department of Computer Sciences and Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences at Marshall University invites nominations and applications for a nine-month tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. This position is focused on individuals with experience in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related field.Position Description. The Assistant Professor position requires teaching, service, and research responsibilities and a terminal degree. The faculty member in this position is required to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses (lecture and laboratory); supervise PhD Dissertations, master’s thesis, and undergraduate projects; pursue scholarly activities (including research in the field, writing and managing grants; and preparing peer reviewed publications); engage in academic mentoring; assist in program assessment and execution of a continuous improvement plan; participate in professional service; and participate in professional activities and organizations. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and laboratory-based instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and exhibit potential for professional recognition via research and publication in their area of expertise.
