Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Pharmacist at Marshfield Clinic Health System. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions, providing drug information and counseling to patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication orders. The role also requires monitoring for drug interactions, allergic reactions, and other potential adverse effects. Collaboration with medical professionals and participation in quality improvement initiatives are integral parts of the role.
Qualifications
- PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Valid pharmacist license in the state of Wisconsin
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations
- Experience with medication therapy management and counseling
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative healthcare environment
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Clinical pharmacy experience is a plus
- Residency or board certification in a specialized pharmacy practice area is beneficial
