JOB SUMMARY:
The Outreach, Triage, and Administrative Support Specialist plays a key dual role within our Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC), combining responsibilities in community outreach and client triage with front desk and administrative support. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled at engaging with clients while coordinating services efficiently. Scheduled hours include late afternoons and evenings (4:00–8:00 PM), along with occasional weekends. This position reports directly to both the Intake Coordinator and the Practice Manager.
Essential Functions (*):
I. Outreach and Triage Responsibilities
Collaborate with community partners (e.g., schools, healthcare providers, local organizations) to promote CBHC services and build strategic relationships.
Design and implement outreach strategies to engage underserved and marginalized populations.
Conduct initial triage to assess behavioral health needs and determine appropriate levels of care.
Coordinate with clinical teams to facilitate timely service referrals and handoffs.
Follow up with individuals to encourage engagement in services and ensure continuity of care.
Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support when needed.
II. Administrative and Front Desk Support
Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
Manage front desk duties including client check-in/check-out procedures and appointment scheduling.
Answer incoming phone calls, route inquiries appropriately, and provide accurate information to clients and community partners.
Support daily operational workflows through collaboration with both clinical and administrative staff.
Maintain up-to-date, confidential documentation of all client interactions and triage assessments.
Ensure compliance with documentation, privacy, and regulatory standards.
III. Documentation and Reporting
Accurately document outreach efforts, client triage assessments, and referrals using electronic systems.
Generate regular reports on outreach activities, client engagement, and outcomes for internal review and funding requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in outreach, case management, or related roles within the behavioral health field.
Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and community resources.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with diverse populations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using computer systems and software for documentation and reporting.
Bilingual (Brazilian Portuguese/English) and/or certification as a Recovery Coach an asset
