What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physican position at Martha's Vineyard Hospital?
Provide the full scope of Internal Medicine services that fall under his/her/their field of training, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance. Educating patients about disease prevention and detection.
* Collaborate with other medical and non-medical personnel.
* Ensure coordination and appropriate referrals for patient care and access across services.
* Supervise Clinic APP(s) in performing clinical services as may be determined.
* Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives in collaboration with the Medical Director.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* A Medical Degree and the successful completion of a residency in Internal Medicine.
* Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine and State License. If Board Eligible at the time of hire, must be Board Certified within 3 years of hire date.
* BLS
* The ability to keep updated on the latest medical technologies.
* Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good teamworking, leadership, and organizational skills.
