Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support our home-based Candy Brokerage operations. We work closely with customers and process orders, provide product information, and support sales activity. The Office Assistant will support day-to-day office tasks, customer communication, and order processing. This role requires professionalism, accuracy, and a friendly personality. You will work on-site in a private home office (located in Southwest Bakersfield by CSUB, and exact address provided to final candidates only). The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in clerical and administrative roles. Bilingual proficiency English/Spanish is required, enabling effective communication with diverse clients and partners. This position is perfect for someone with prior office experience looking to apply their skills in a supportive and engaging setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers in English and Spanish.
- Take customer orders by telephone or email.
- Process orders accurately using computer software.
- Make outbound cold calls to customers when needed.
- Communicate via email and telephone with customers.
- Use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word for daily tasks.
- Maintain organized digital and paper files.
- Provide general administrative support in a busy, multitask environment.
- Maintain efficient office workflows through strong organizational skills and time management
Requirements

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- 35 hours per week
- On-site at home office
