Job Description: Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Mechanic, Senior Mechanic, Lead Mechanic or Senior Lead Mechanic located at our Montgomery County Yardwaste facility in Dickerson, MD. This position performs installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used for a variety of environmental projects. Estimated Pay Range: $46,001.76 - $84,188.41 Benefits: Health Insurance with choice of medical plan and prescription, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance options, along with flexible spending accounts 401K retirement savings program with generous agency match Paid vacation, personal and sick leave Ten paid holidays per year Tuition assistance Minimum Requirements: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of GED equivalency certificate plus 3-8 years of experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Formal schooling from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to three years of the required experience. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. Appointment to some sites may require Commercial Driver’s License with specific endorsements. This position will be open until filled.
