This will be achieved through the planning and implementation of programming which aligns with MICA wellness initiatives. Summary of Essential Functions Wellness Coordinators are part-time student staff of MICA Wellness 4-9 hour commitment per a week Will be required to create programming that addresses the 8 dimensions of well-being - Sexual, Social, Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, Occupational, Environmental and Physical Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create and manage programs for assigned area of wellness. This includes planning, advertising, and implementing programs Manage one of the following outreach areas: The Stall Street Journal, MICA Wellness social media Responsible for the creation and implementation of a minimum of 2 programs per semester Attend weekly meeting with Wellness Coordinator team Maintain one weekly shift as Fitness Assistant (Work the front desk of the Fitness Center) Perform other related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to collaborate with others and work in a team Strong communication and organizational skills Demonstrates basic knowledge of a healthy wellness practice Minimum Qualifications Must be a currently enrolled MICA [undergraduate/graduate] student at the time of employment Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 Compensation Time commitment: 4-9 hours per week $15.00 per hour Fitness Staff t-shirt Conditions of Employment Must attend mandatory meetings New Wellness Coordinator welcome meeting TBD April 2024 Fall Wellness Coordinator Training TBD August 2024 Joint Training August 16-17, 2024 CPR Certification Training - TBD Expected to help with Wellness information session during Fall orientation Cannot serve both as a Wellness Coordinator and Residential Assistant (RA) Student employees may work no more than 20 hours per week across all on-campus positions. Work environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
