What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant to the Family Resource Director position at Maryville City School District?
Position Informaton:
Part-time (less than 30 hours per week)
Pay Range: 16.86 - 20.35/hour (based on education and experience)
Essential Functions
• To assist the FRC Director with daily functions of the FRC.
• To demonstrate computer competency with excel, CANVA, and social media.
• To communicate effectively both orally and written expression.
• To have pleasant phone skills even in difficult and trying conversations.
• To treat all persons involved with the FRC with kindness, respect and confidentiality.
• To learn about collaborative partners and appropriately connect families.
• To assist with purchasing clothing, shoes, and food for families being assisted.
• To accurately post expenses and complete purchase orders.
• To be able to be flexible with hours that may be outside traditional job hours.
Other Functions
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective job functions.
Education, Certification, and Work Experience
• High School diploma (College degree: 2 or 4 years preferred)
• Required knowledge and expertise with various computer
programs{Microsoft, google, and email)
• Knowledge of Powerschool, previous experience in an office setting or a team experience involving collaborating with others, and a strong propensity to learn.
Expectations
The position will require an individual who is a self-starter, has strong work habits, and organizational skills. It also requires flexibility in scheduling work hours as the need exsists.
Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the position functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling: some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing. The position is performed in a generally hazard free, clean, and healthy environment. Ability to perform any physical duties associated with this position (e.g., lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, sitting for long periods of time, walking, seeing, standing for extended periods of time, etc.).
