Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality urgent care services to patients of all ages
- Diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries
- Perform procedures including suturing, wound care, incision & drainage, and splinting
- Interpret and act on diagnostic tools such as X-rays and EKGs
- Collaborate with clinical support teams and maintain thorough documentation
- Weekend availability strongly preferred (especially Fridays through Sundays)
- Weekday shifts may also be available, particularly on Mondays and Fridays
- Must be comfortable with:
- Traveling up to 45 minutes between clinic sites
- Occasionally splitting a day between two locations
- Adapting to last-minute schedule changes when necessary
- Preference given to local providers or those not requiring air travel
- Active Connecticut state license (or ability to obtain quickly)
- At least 1–2 years of recent urgent care or emergency medicine experience
- Proven ability to manage a high patient volume (20 patients per 12-hour shift)
- Proficient in urgent care procedures
- Comfortable seeing pediatric through adult populations
- BLS (Required)
- ACLS, PALS (Preferred)
- Active DEA license (assigned in Connecticut)
