Job Title: Portfolio Analyst  

Reports To: Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager

Job Description: The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of investment strategies, due diligence processes, investment reporting and portfolio construction. The Portfolio Analyst is expected to gain mastery across investment asset classes and support the function of the investment committee at a high level. This role requires understanding of the financial advisory industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Update and maintain investment related materials:
  • Annual due diligence for current managers
  • Update and maintain client-facing investment materials
  • Investment Committee meeting notes/materials
  • Morningstar analyses
  • Implementation and contribution to investment recommendations
  • Client portfolio analysis

• Participate in manager due diligence:
  • Participate in meetings with managers we are currently invested in:  absorb, take notes, follow-up
  • Provide support during the due diligence process for prospective managers. 
• Provide support to Portfolio Manager/CIO with special projects
  • Ad Hoc investment analyses
  • Industry and sector research

• Liaise with investment manager back office:
  • Help to troubleshoot issues within investment reporting software (Black Diamond) as it relates to performance of traditional and alternative assets

Qualifications: 

• Undergraduate degrees in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering. 
• GPA of 3.5 or greater
• Proficient in Excel and full Microsoft suite
• Take initiative to engage with and learn new software programs (Bloomberg, BlackDiamond, etc.)
• Expectation to pass Series 65 exam
• Making progress towards a CFA or CAIA (sitting for or passed Level I of either)
• Strong written and oral skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working on and finding solutions to opened ended questions

Compensation:  

• Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
