What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Matagorda Regional Medical Center?
JOB SUMMARY
Administers nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Functions as a receptionist and performs general clerical duties in a clinic setting. Willingness to cross train and cover co-workers in all community health programs, such as but not limited to Medical Assistance Programs, special projects, other clinics, billing, and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
- Medical Assistant training course preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
- Current CPR required or other certification based on areas of responsibility.
- Should have working knowledge of basic office equipment.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written. (Including legible writing)
- Must be able to work quietly, independently and with minimal supervision.
Salary : $24,600 - $31,100
