Position Summary
The Accounting Associate performs a variety of general accounting and clerical support tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of general accounting functions.
Essential Functions
- Assist with schedules and postings of deals
- Cross-train on desks as required
- Receipt checks and electronic payments
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Print, analyze, and distribute reports as requested by management
- Pull, copy, sort, track, and unput various documents
- Assist with reconciliations
- Ensures that all accounting transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Experience in the automotive industry strongly preferred, CDK a plus
- At least 2 years of experience with A/R and/or A/P
- Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with business applications and accounting software
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Able to deal with confidential information appropriately
- Strong data entry and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
- Highly professional and dependable
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
