What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Specialist position at Matheson Tri-Gas?
SUMMARY Unloads cylinder trailers and distributes them within the establishment by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned. Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine what cylinders need to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Conveys cylinders from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places cylinders according to predetermined sequence such as size, type of gas, retesting date or color. Checks cylinders for proper labeling. Assembles customer orders from stock and places cylinders on trucks. Transfers cylinders to and from filling cages, trucks, and storage areas. Records daily production data. Drives forklift to distribute cylinders throughout the warehouse. Assists with other warehouse duties as needed. Required Skills: LANGUAGE SKILLS Excellent language skills. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Excellent math skills. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Forklift Certification Hazardous materials training and certification. Forklift skills are required. High School Diploma; Computer Skills; including Excel Minimum of 3 months related experience or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
