What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Tutor position at Mathnasium - The Math Learning Center?
Center Operations
We are looking for candidates that are available throughout all of 2024 and into 2025. Mathnasium is open 2:30pm-7pm, Monday -Thursday, and from 12pm-3pm on Saturdays. Instructor must be available to work a minimum of 2 weekdays, preferably 3-4 weekdays, Monday-Thursday.
Math Instructor / Tutor:
Our math-only learning center has an opening for a math instructor to work with students in K-12th grade. Curriculum and materials are pre-determined for each student, and instructor will apply the teaching methods presented during training. Instructor will also help students with their homework and test preparation.
Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional math skills through Algebra I
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
- Energetic and confident personality
- Should have basic knowledge of high level math, including Geometry and Algebra 2. Higher level courses such as Trig, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus is helpful. The more you know, the better.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 22 per week
