What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Engineering Project Manager position at Mattern & Craig?
Beyond project management, this role includes both business development and team management. Previous client and project development experience, excellent communication skills and a willingness to lead a team is highly valued. The successful candidate will manage multiple transportation design projects; develop project schedules and budgets; supervise design team members and provide quality assurance for meeting design criteria and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role will require assisting in the development of Statements of Qualifications (SOQ), technical proposals and presentations; and responsibly coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, government and regulatory agencies.

- VA Registered PE preferred or ability to obtain licensure in Virginia within 6 months
- BSCE from ABET accredited engineering program
- Excellent engineering design, written, and communication skills
- Minimum of 12 yrs of technical experience and 5 years of project management and client services experience
- Experience with VDOT and municipalities is a plus
