**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a Pipe Layer Laborer responsible for the installation and maintenance of various types of piping systems used in water, sewage, drainage, and other utility projects. This role involves preparing and aligning pipes, ensuring proper installation, and performing general site maintenance tasks. The Pipe Layer Laborer works under the supervision of a Foreman or Project Manager and collaborates with other construction workers to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipe Installation: Lay, join, and seal pipes for water, sewage, and drainage systems according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Site Preparation: Excavate and prepare trenches, ensuring they meet depth and grade requirements.
- Alignment and Fitting: Align pipes using levels or other measuring tools and secure pipes with the necessary fittings.
- Material Handling: Transport and handle pipe materials, tools, and equipment to and from the work site.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Quality Control: Inspect and test installed pipes for proper function and compliance with standards.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other construction crew members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address issues that may arise during the installation process, providing solutions to ensure project continuity.
**Experience:**
- Proficiency in using construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
