What are the responsibilities and job description for the Addiction Recovery Technician position at Maui Recovery Services?
Maui Recovery Center is an 8 bed residential treatment facility for addiction and mental health. We provide a safe community and nurturing environment for our clients while they receive ongoing support, counseling, therapy, treatment and guidance from caring staff to further enhance and strengthen their recovery journey.
A Recovery Tech is the lifeblood of our community, they supervise, transport, oversee, mentor and care for our clients during their shifts.
Immediate opening for Recovery Technician at a growing substance abuse treatment center in Launiupoko, Maui. Ideal candidates would have excellent verbal/written communication skills, basic computer skills, knowledge or 12-steps and other social support programs, crisis intervention experience, a clean driving record and at least 12 months of sobriety if in recovery (18 months preferred.)
Responsibilities & Duties
- Monitor client safety and protection overnight.
- Monitor stations, phone and electronic device use.
- Performing hourly rounds to monitor clients.
- Shift notes/ report on shift change
- Turning the rooms when discharges and new arrivals come in
- Enforce all rules
- Safety & Supervision of clients during shifts
- Support Clients in their individual programs of recovery and their maintaining recovery from addiction and or mental health issues.
- Experienced in medication administration and observation.
- Ensure all clients needs are met and or addressed promptly.
- Observation and documentation of clients observable states of health and well being.
- Ensuring ethical practice of recovery for clients; that they feel safe and supported in their programs of healing
- Support of staff and aid in any way possible their support of clients and the groups they run.
- Positive role modeling of recovery
- Room checks/ property checks
- Administer UA's
- Other duties as assigned.
