What are the responsibilities and job description for the Folder Operator position at Max Solutions, Inc.?
We are hiring a Folder Operator at our Concord, NC facility.
Responsibilities
- Ensure line clearances are performed between jobs
- Review docket information to ensure proper job is being folded
- Record waste counts, production counts and any pertinent comments
- Complete Quality Checklist/GMP Booklet
- Set up the machine to accomplish all necessary folds and pre-breaking of creases according to job specifications
- Obtain approved sample from docket and perform machine make-ready
- Verify case label information is correct
- Print and verify Finished Goods Flags for the loads produced
- Set Quality Assurance Scanner and test to verify scanner is functioning properly
- Set case counter and manually count the first case to verify counter is functioning properly
- Maximize production speeds while maintaining quality
- Perform regular inspections throughout the run to ensure output meets acceptable quality standards
- Verify all are functioning properly throughout the run
- Maintain accurate counts
- Issue corrugate at the end of each run
- Assist in the training of team members when required
- Maintain and adhere to safety standards and perform housekeeping duties
- Perform scheduled maintenance when required
- Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Previous experience in folding machine operation preferred
- Previous experience in the printing or packaging industry
- Mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of folding process and machines
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
- Good organization skills and leadership skills
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction
Physical Requirements
- Safely and effectively handle objects weighing between 15-20 pounds on a consistent basis, with the capability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
- Stand for extended periods
- Maintain good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Sustain physical endurance for fast-paced work
- Operate and work near machinery safely
