What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Coordinator position at MAYFIELD CONSUMER PRODUCTS?
OVERALL PURPOSE/FUNCTION: Assist the Warehouse department by processing and managing all incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments following MCP customer established guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for receiving and processing for the facility
· Responsible for shipping and processing for the facility
· Manage incoming paperwork with a high level of accuracy
· Manage outgoing paperwork with a high level of accuracy
· Use the inventory control system to track the receipt of raw material
· Use the inventory control system to track the shipments of raw materials and finished goods
· Communicate with outside vendors and MVP customers in a professional manner
· May be asked to assist the warehouse employees in unloading trucks, scanning materials, locating in the system, and moving inventory by forklift
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience
· High School Diploma OR GED
· Forklift operation experience
· Warehousing experience
Professional Designations / Licensures / Certifications
· OSHA Forklift certification preferred; onsite training provided
· Valid driver’s license required
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
· Communication Skills: written and verbal
· Computer skills including using inventory management systems.
· Excellent attention to detail
· Knowledge of Microsoft programs; Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
· Standing for long periods
· Constant computer usage
