Position Title: Intramural Official
Compensation: $15/hour
Position Overview: The Intramural Sports Official is responsible for officiating intramural sports contests in a fair, safe, and fun manner. This role supports the mission of Student Affairs by promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Officiate intramural sports such as basketball, volleyball, and others
- Enforce game rules and maintain control of the event environment
- Ensure participants’ safety and respond to incidents or injuries appropriately
- Communicate effectively with participants and coordinators
- Assist with set up and take down equipment before and after events
Qualifications:
- Interest in sports and recreation
- Ability to make quick decisions and remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior officiating experience is a plus but not required (training will be provided)
- Must be dependable and punctual
Work Schedule:
- Flexible evening and weekend hours based on event schedules
