Maze Rooms Los Angeles (la.mazerooms.com) is currently seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to join our team!
Position: Game Operator/ Receptionist Location: 900 S Robertson Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90035
Schedule: Two shifts available (morning/evening), with weekend availability required. Please apply only if you can work during upcoming holidays and are available to start immediately. Flexibility is essential, as your schedule will vary based on bookings. Rate: Starting at $16.50 per hour, with bi-weekly payroll. Please apply only if you live within a 15-30 minute drive of the Robertson location.
Additional Requirement: Social media experience is a must.
Responsibilities for Game Operator:
- Warmly greet clients, assist with check-in, and help them complete necessary waivers.
- Handle phone calls and respond to emails.
- Set up the escape room for each new game session, ensuring all props are in proper working order (often done quickly between games).
- Monitor game progress via computer and provide hints to participants as needed.
- Manage reservations, process payments, and capture customer photos.
- Maintain the functionality of props within the game room.
- Strong management skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and excellent customer interaction skills are required.
- Perform light cleaning and dusting during downtime (minimal).
- Check and restock supplies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college experience is a plus.
- Prior experience in customer service.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Outgoing and energetic personality.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and problem-solve effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and an excellent memory.
- Creativity and tech-savviness for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Flexibility in your schedule, including weekends and evenings.
- Reliable transportation and a cell phone.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Email, Excel, Word, iPad, etc.).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Background in gaming, theater tech, acting, set design, or art is a plus.
