Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented Shipping and Receiving Clerk who will be a part of every aspect of the product’s development.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the development and launch of core product features. Our vertically integrated company, including operations and engineering staff, are experienced veterans in providing low-power, lightweight solutions for capturing imagery across the spectrum. Key responsibilities include:

Receiving: Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect goods for damages or defects. Accurately record receipt of materials in the inventory management system.

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies. Organize and label inventory to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.

Quality Control: Work closely with the quality assurance team to inspect incoming materials and ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Promptly report any issues or discrepancies to management.

Warehouse Operations Support: Assist with various warehouse tasks, including picking and packing orders, staging shipments, and loading/unloading trucks as needed. Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

Documentation: Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documents, including packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels. File paperwork and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Communication: Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate incoming shipments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of materials. Provide regular updates on inventory status and receiving activities to warehouse management.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline receiving processes, improve efficiency, and reduce errors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standard operating procedures.

Minimum qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.

· Familiarity with inventory management systems and software; experience with ERP systems is desirable.

· Previous experience working in a manufacturing warehouse environment, preferably in a receiving or inventory control role.
