Position Summary:
MB HAYNES Corporation is a multifaceted construction company relying on job costing practices within our accounting system. Our extraordinary team of Accounts Payable associates process an average of 4,000 invoices each month.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for accurately completing financial and administrative duties, including handling outgoing payments and maintaining records for a variety of departments in the company.
- Review and verify invoices against purchase orders
- Sort and code invoices to be approved by Project Managers
- Upload approved invoices
- Work independently inputting large quantities of data each day.
- Communicate with various departments to resolve discrepancies in invoices
- Review vendor statements to ensure payments are up to date
- Maintain vendor information in system
- Correspond with various vendors regarding inquiries
- Prepare invoices for payment runs three times per month
- Support Accounting and Accounts Receivable as needed
- Support Receptionist by answering phones as needed
Requirements:
- Previous A/P experience preferred
- Construction A/P and/or job costing experience preferred
- Ability to demonstrate key traits indicative of the HAYNES Way including integrity and professionalism
- Ability to maintain discretion when handling financially sensitive information
- Willingness to interact with a variety of internal and external customers with a positive and service-oriented approach
- Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite and various internal software program applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail oriented
- Ability to handle multiple comprehensive tasks at one time
