*Must be willing to provide coverage at our East Valley clinics. Floating between locations as needed, based on staffing and operational needs.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Schedule may vary depending on the needs of the assigned clinic location.

Summary:

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in the delivering of high-quality patient care by supporting Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. This position involves performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties under the direction of the Center Administrator to ensure an exceptional patient experience and overall satisfaction.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient interviews and accurately document medical histories.
• Perform vital sign assessments, specimen collection, and health evaluations.
• Perform and assist with various clinical procedures, including but not limited to:
  • DOT, Basic, and Respirator Examinations
  • Pulmonary Function Tests and Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
  • Venipuncture, vaccinations, and immunizations
  • Wound care, dressing, splinting, and suturing assistance
  • Audiovisual testing
• Provide laboratory services, including phlebotomy, specimen handling, and quality control.
• Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations in accordance with company protocols.
• Sterilize medical instruments and maintain clean, organized treatment areas.
• Accurately input patient data and medical histories into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Coordinate hospital admissions and laboratory services when necessary.
• Triage patients based on urgency and appointment schedules, managing 3-4 patients per hour.
• Deliver patient-centered care from arrival to departure, ensuring a positive experience.
• Ensure the clinic is fully stocked with necessary supplies and exam rooms are well-prepared.
• Offer front office support as needed through cross-training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent work experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Proficiency in patient management software.
• Demonstrated social perceptiveness and a service-oriented attitude.
