RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Mercedes-Benz Service Technician, your role is vital to customer satisfaction. The Service Technician’s responsibilities generally include:
- Properly complete services and/or repairs according to applicable safety requirements and published procedures/work repair instructions.
- Produce quality work which is evidence of pride and workmanship while making every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.
- Proactively communicate potential issues with Service Advisors, Parts department, Management, and other departments to provide the best possible customer experience and “fix-it first visit”.
- Complete required Mercedes-Benz and any additional dealership training. Review technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.
- Accurately complete Multi-point Inspections and record results.
- Ensure customers’ vehicles are returned clean as they were prior to any service.
- Display proper use of tools and equipment provided by the Service Department and maintain promptly. Use shop supplies and materials in a practical, safe, and economical manner.
- Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
- Follow all safety protocols.
- Abide by company policy and departmental best practices and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Delivering an exceptional customer experience. You are expected to treat a customer as you would a guest in your home. This level of service creates a strong and lasting impression on the customer and goes a long way toward creating an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements
- Deep understanding of Mercedes-Benz vehicles and speedy diagnostic abilities
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Solid understanding of new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Proficient in operating electronic diagnostic equipment
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
- 5 years of certified Mercedes-Benz diagnosis and repair experience in a dealership environment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
