What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visitor Services Assistant position at McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center?
The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center seeks part-time Visitor Services Assistants to make a great first impression on our visitors and program participants, through front desk and telephone reception, accurate and efficient reservations and admission, membership and program sales, special events staffing, and to serve as front line security.
Minimum requirements: High school degree or GED equivalent and six months’ experience in cashiering and accounting for daily receipts. Reliability and punctuality required. Familiarity with computers and software systems a plus. Come join a team dedicated to creating a great science museum experience every day!
This position is part-time, and ranges from 5 – 35 hours/week, depending on our scheduling needs and your availability. Weekday, night, and weekend shifts available; more hours will be available to candidates who can work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and nights. Starting pay is $15/hour.
