Trade Specialist (Newark / Stamford / New York)
McCarter & English is looking for a Trade Specialist in our Newark NJ, Stamford CT or New York NY offices. Strong writing skills, organized, attentive to detail, able to work well in a deadline driven environment.
Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in various types of entries and entry procedures, including quota entries, temporary importations, warehouse entries and withdrawals, and other government agencies.
Prepared post entry adjustments, protests, binding ruling request, prior disclosures, mitigation of fines, penalties and forfeitures, and reconciliations, as well as assist clients with other customs matters and communications.

Requirements :
Previously held holding position of Licensed Customs Broker or import team leader
Experience with classifications under Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Schedule B (prefer knowledge of export classifications / ECCN)
Experience with various types of entries and entry procedures, including quota entries, temporary importations, warehouse entries and withdrawals
Experience preparing post entry adjustments, protests, mitigation of fines, penalties and forfeitures, and reconciliations
Experience in running and analyzing ACE reports.
