Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Verify the contents of each delivery against shipping documents and obtain signatures or proof of delivery
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including box trucks and refrigerated trailers
- Proficient in using GPS navigation systems to determine the most efficient routes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Physical fitness and ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
Skills:
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including box trucks, refrigerated trailers, or courier vehicles
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation using GPS systems
- Strong customer service skills to interact with customers in a professional manner
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
