Transportation Designer

McCormick Taylor is seeking Entry Level Civil Engineers to join our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. The primary duties of the Civil Engineer are to serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/bridge projects.

• Work under the guidance of experienced project engineers/managers
• Able to work on multiple design projects concurrently
• Perform field inspections and assessments of transportation infrastructure.
• Will assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction. This will include plans, specifications and cost estimates

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Have basic engineering calculations and design skills
• Knowledge of roadway design elements, standards, and constructability methods
• Willing and capable of performing field work and have a valid driver’s license
• Efficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Strong communications and technical writing skills
• Ability to work on multiple assignments
• EIT certification preferred
• Working knowledge of CADD specifically Bentley MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads are a plus
