As a member of the Gretna Blending Team, the employee will:
Set up and operate all pieces of the blending equipment, open and add ingredients to blenders, as well as perform ingredient kit building tasks
Understand and follow all instructions on production cards and daily schedule (i.e. weights, label requirements, formula integrity, machine number, etc.)
Keep accurate production records; report information daily; accurate reporting in SAP
Inspect in-process and finished goods for proper weights, labeling, packaging, pallet configuration. Correct and/or report defects
Perform sanitation duties, proper housekeeping, and adhere to safety and GMP procedures
Help maintain equipment, report all machinery breakdowns or problems
Perform changeovers and wash downs (including chemical) of equipment, as well as change screens, assemble socks and clean totes, on an as-needed basis
Participate in team/department meetings, actively offering suggestions where warranted
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Basic math, reading and writing skill required
Basic computer knowledge is required
Ability to lift up to 50 lb. required
Proven mechanical ability preferred
3 year in a manufacturing environment preferred
SAP experience preferred
Ability to work in a dusty environment with strong odors and high noise/decibel levels required
Ability to work in environment with potential exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents required
Ability to work overtime on short notice and weekends required
Ability to work in a team environment required
