POSITION OVERVIEW
The Rebate Accountant, under the direction of the Global Rebate Accounting Manager, is responsible for the audit activation of customer rebate & pricing allowances in SAP. In addition, the Rebate Accountant performs daily, month end closing & reconciliation tasks along with reporting & analysis to support the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviewing & analyzing contracts related to Gross-to-Net entries and performing the audit & activation of their rebate and pricing-related allowances loaded in SAP.
- Preparing and posting journal entries
- Assisting with annual, quarterly, or monthly closing procedures.
- Perform Blackline rebate & AR reconciliations
- Preparing ad hoc financial reports and analysis for management.
- Evaluating financial controls and ensuring compliance under Sarbanes Oxley.
- Interacting with internal and external auditors as necessary to complete audits
- Auditing customer reconciliations and reviewing accrual adjustments.
- Collaborating with cross functional teams on projects to reach business objectives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- A minimum of 3 years business experience
- Skilled in math applications and accounting formulations
- Ability to develop sound and persuasive options to influence problem resolution, including problems with incomplete or ambiguous information
- Ability to make judgments on analysis of factual information, practice and previous experience/reasonable assumptions
- Excellent interaction, relationship management (oral and written) and customer service skills
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills with a solid understanding of database applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- 3 years experience with complex accounting
- CPA
