Job Overview :
The Project Contract Manager role requires an in-depth understanding of Contract Management concepts, theories, and principles and basic knowledge of other related disciplines. The Project Contract Manager will be an integral part of the project team and responsible for ensuring adherence to the prime contract, supporting risk management, and leveraging opportunities for change management.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement contract management strategies to support contract and project objectives
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from the initial negotiation stage to contract closeout
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure contract compliance and adherence to project schedules
- Monitor and assess contract performance, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies
- Manage contract negotiations.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding contract-related matters
- Coordinate with legal and procurement teams to ensure proper documentation and execution of contracts
- Develop and maintain a contract database, including tracking key milestones, deadlines, and contract obligations
- Stay updated with industry best practices and trends related to contract management
- Identifying risks and providing solutions
- Responsible for the life cycle of contract change orders
