About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced CADD Technician to join our growing Transportation and Infrastructure practice. The role will serve multiple projects with local agencies that mcfa is supporting. This role will be based in our Haddonfield, NJ office and could require some limited travel. As a part of our Transportation team, the CADD Technician will be responsible for production drawings and as-builts utilizing sketches, diagrams, drawings, and plans. Examples of duties performed include interpreting, compiling, and processing technical engineering data and preparing special reports as requested, researching, assembling, and reviewing road, bridge, and structural data.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs for preliminary and final plan sets using MicroStation and ProjectWise.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure coordinated designs.
- Apply standard drafting/design principles and theories to complete assignments.
- Use technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards for the transportation and infrastructure agencies.
- Understand engineering, architectural documentation and construction, including infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bridge/Transportation design experience required.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree desired but not required.
- Experience within transportation industry desired.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Transportation Agencies preferred.
- New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA), New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), and/or Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) project experience preferred.
- Experience with engineering, architectural, and construction documents (i.e., maps, drawings, technical specifications, etc.) preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MicroStation/CADD (desired minimum of 3-5 years)
- Demonstrated GIS (Geographic Information System) experience a plus.
- Self-directed with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and communicate status and progress effectively.
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential documents and information.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication, organizational and time management skills. Attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and detail oriented.
