Position Title: Supply Chain Manager
Department: Operations
When You Will Work: Monday through Friday, full-time position with flexible 1st shift hours.
Where You Will Work: This position will be in Baldwin City, KS
Who You Report To: Director of Operations
How You Will Make an Impact: The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain Manager is to oversee all facets of supply chain including, purchasing, logistics, inventory management, material forecasting, capacity planning, sourcing, master scheduling, inventory control, receiving, shipping and financial costing to support orders for McFarlane Aviation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day Supply Chain operations
- Direct the activities of the overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of suppliers, distribution of products, receiving, inventory of product and shipping
- Manage inventory and establish controls to ensure McFarlane is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimize supply chain risk.
- Manage logistics to minimize transportation costs while reducing product damage; develop and administer export customs compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with our supply base and while maintaining the highest degree of business ethics and professionalism.
- Develop a comprehensive supply base, leveraging both global and local capabilities, that creates and sustains a competitive advantage in terms of cost, supply, service, and working capital.
- Negotiate strategic large and/or critical agreements as required and ensure appropriate contracts are in place to protect McFarlane’s interests, minimize exposure, and secure consistent supplies at competitive prices.
- Mitigate potential supply chain risks, and ensure purchased material is realized at the lowest cost and is available to meet demand and future requirements.
- Responsible for the efficient flow of materials and the development of secondary and localized supply chains.
- Utilize data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirements.
- Oversee all sourcing activities from purchasing through quality on a global scope.
- Manage and optimize working capital and inventory to attain monthly and annual committed targets.
- Establish metrics to monitor and improve supply chain responsiveness, cost, and quality.
- Leadership of shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods
- Directs shipping and receiving, materials storage and inventory control

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience
- 3 years of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management experience
- APIM Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred
