Job Description
The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for our clients. They oversee a portfolio of commercial and residential properties, ensuring high-quality service, client satisfaction, and business growth. This role involves proactive client communication, quality control, enhancement sales, and contract renewals while coordinating with internal teams to maintain and improve landscapes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
· Manage a portfolio of $600k in commercial and residential accounts, including existing contracts, enhancement sales, and new maintenance opportunities.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing solutions to maintain satisfaction.
· Manage all aspects of the client relationship, including communication, customer satisfaction, quality control, enhancement sales, production scheduling, and renewal of maintenance agreements.
· Ensure that the scope of work is being performed and that the quality of work is up to company standards.
· Develop strong relationships with homeowners and property managers to understand their needs and expectations.
· Proactively communicating with clients.
Client Experience & Relationship Management
· Inspect the property regularly to ensure that the scope of work is followed and that service levels are met and exceeded.
· Proactively communicate with clients about seasonal services, potential issues, and upcoming enhancements.
· Ensure client concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
· Identify, propose, and sell enhancement opportunities on existing projects to solve client issues and to improve their property.
Enhancement Sales & Business Growth
· Face-to-face selling with homeowners (residential) and mid-to-senior levels of client management (commercial).
· Identify opportunities for landscape enhancements, upgrades, and additional services to improve property aesthetics and functionality.
· Estimate projects, prepare proposals, present solutions, and close enhancement sales to increase revenue within the existing client base.
· Collaborate with production teams to ensure the timely and successful execution of enhancement projects.
· Identify new business opportunities by cultivating and maintaining relationships with clients. Ask your clients for referrals.
Property Walks & Audits
· Conduct regular property walks and audits with clients to review service quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Perform routine site visits to assess landscape conditions, contract compliance, and service quality.
· Document observations, provide recommendations, and follow up on corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.
Quality Control & Operations Coordination
· Spend approximately 70% of your time in the field working with clients, crews, and sales opportunities, and 30% in the office on your administrative responsibilities.
· Collaborate with crews to oversee and manage a portfolio of client properties, ensuring contract compliance and delivering high-quality landscape maintenance.
· Train, motivate, lead, and hold maintenance crew members accountable.
· Work closely with production teams to ensure maintenance schedules, seasonal services, and special projects are executed efficiently.
· Planning and scheduling field operations to meet budgeted job hours.
· Ensure crews have the necessary resources, training, and support to maintain high-quality standards.
· Address service deficiencies promptly and ensure corrective measures meet client expectations.
· Track job hours throughout the season and collaborate with crews to optimize services within available hours.
· Evaluate the crew’s performance quarterly and work with them to correct deficiencies.
Contract Renewals & Retention
· Manage the renewal process for existing clients by demonstrating service value and proposing adjustments to the scope of work as needed.
· Address client concerns proactively to ensure high retention rates and long-term partnerships.
· Monitor market trends, pricing structures, and competitive landscapes to support renewal negotiations
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
