Environmental Services (EVS) Attendants at MCHC take pride in maintaining the facilities, improving safety, and preventing infections. Our team is looking for a reliable and dedicated team member with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail, to join our evening crew.
EVS Attendants manage the cleaning and maintenance of all areas of MCHC's facilities and play a vital role in defending against serious infections that may linger on surfaces throughout each site. They are essential in ensuring that patients have a germ free environment in which to seek treatment and that staff can rely on safe and clean work areas to perform their important duties. It all starts here!
Duties Include:
- Completes assigned tasks, to MCHC standards, for cleanliness and infection control by: Dusting, cleaning of walls, windows, and disinfecting surfaces such as desktops/countertops, copy/fax machines, as well as refrigerators/microwaves, doorknobs, sinks & dispensers, restrooms, and floors. The removal of garbage, and the disinfection of conference room chairs, tables, phones, remotes, light switches, etc. Requesting permission to disinfect office equipment in individual offices/cubicles, such as phones, mouse, keyboard, etc.
- Supports MCHC initiatives in energy conservation and social responsibility by turning off lights in currently unused areas, recycling, reporting any water leaks and running toilets.
- Supports employee and patient safety by immediately tending to spills, preventing workplace injuries by removing or flagging trip hazards and reporting any potential hazards to Supervisor.
- Handles all chemicals in compliance with specifications and maintains working knowledge of SDS information and protocols.
- Performs all physical tasks in a safe manner.
- Maintains patient and employees right to confidentiality, and the privacy of agency documents/information that you may be exposed to either in writing or verbally.
- Complies with all personal protective equipment requirements and standards.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a healthcare facility or related experience
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Possess a valid California Driver’s License and be insurable to drive MCHC vehicles
- Two or more years’ experience in a healthcare facility or related experience
Salary : $21 - $26
