What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Technology Instructor position at McHenry High School District 156?
Start Date: Immediate
Terms of Employment:
- Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
- Location: Upper Campus - traveling between camupses may be required
- Responsible To: Building Principal and District Division Chair of CTE
- Calendar: 180 Day / School-Year Employee (prorated based upon start date)
- Daily Schedule: M-F - 7:15 am - 3:00 pm
- Salary and Benefits: Eligible for medical benefits and paid leave. Salary is based on years of experience and education attainment. Qualifications:
- Issued Illinois Professional Educator License
- Industrial Technology endorsement or equivalent is required
- Metals / Manufacturing endorsement is preferred
- Ability to stimulate students to actively participate in the learning process
- Ability to work closely with other staff members
Responsibilities:
- Teach 9-12th grade high school students in the CTE division
- Must perform all responsibilities, classroom and supervisory, in a professional manner as expected of all district teachers
The District:
- The McHenry High Schools provide a comprehensive education for approximately 2,300 students
- Class scheduling is a traditional eight-period day, 45-minute class periods, and a 45-minute lunch
- McHenry High School has recently completed a 70,000 square foot Center for Science, Technology, and Industry
- The district has opened a new 3500 square foot advanced manufacturing facility in this new Center with four new HAAS CNC machines, over 20 other manual and computer driven machines, and 10 welding booths
- The district enrollment in the manufacturing program is approx. 240 students
